The following are descriptions of the types of services most commonly selected by families celebrating the life of their loved one. We understand that the service should reflect the customs and lifestyle of the recently departed. Elcock Funeral Home, Inc. specializes in creating unique memorization services.

Traditional Service:
This service includes a one or two day viewing period, when family members received mourners wishing to express their condolences. A service follows, often times a religious service that takes place on site or at another facility. Disposition then occurs, either at a cemetery or crematory. For those families wanting their loved one to be reunited with family members in another state or country, we will ship to the desired location.

Cremation Verses Burial:

Many people have been misled to believe that if their loved one wants to be cremated they must opt for a direct cremation. Family members can choose a traditional service and then have their loved one cremated instead of buried. The advantage of this type of cremation service is that it will allow family members and friends to say good bye prior to cremation. However, if your loved ones expressed a desire for direct cremation, we provide that service as well and can return the cremains in the urn you've selected.

Immediate Burial or Cremation Service:

Many families select this type of service for religious reasons. Because of the time constrains associated between when a loved one passes and when he/she should be buried or cremated, Elcock Funeral Home, Inc. makes every possible effect to meet your religious needs.

Prearrangement of Services:

This is simply the preplanning of a funeral prior to the actual death occurring. An individual can preplan their own funeral or the funeral of their next of kin. The advantage of this service is that it allows families the make funeral arrangements without a great deal of anxiety. It also gives you an opportunity ahead of time to find out the cost associated with the funeral and explore payment options. The prepayment of goods and services can be done in several convenient ways, either through the use of insurance, based on the policy requirements of the insurer. We can also assist you in setting up a prepayment plan in a financial institution where you receive statements showing all of your deposits and interest accruals. You will always know how much money is in your account.

Selection Room:

We offer several options when it comes to merchandise selections. Our selection room features various metal and wood caskets from which to choose. Your choice is not limited to what's on our showroom floor. Ask to be shown our seemingly limitless variety of caskets from one of our knowledgeable directors.

We also have a wide range of urn styles if your family member's desire was to be cremated.

A funeral service is the celebration of a loved one's life. We offer several ways for family members and friends to commemorate the life of their loved ones. Memorial cards make excellent keep sakes. Put your loved ones picture or a meaningful symbol on the front and place their favorite scripture, poem, or saying on the back. The memorial cards along with the funeral program can be conveniently mailed to those who were unable to attend the service. We have a variety of beautiful Rosary Beads that can be placed in your loved ones hands. We encourage our families to ask for any items that would make the service more meaningful.

Music Selection:

So often when people go to a funeral home the background music that is playing during the wake or viewing is music that your loved one would have never listened to when he/she was alive. For this reason we designed our sound system in a manner that allows family members to bring in their own music to be played during the wake and viewing hours.
